Navrongo Health Research Center (NHRC). Navrongo is a small village in Northern

Ghana which have carry out clinical trials, research and offer diagnostics to Navrongo and

neighbouring villages.

Lab selection motivation

Accra (WACCBIP)

The research mission of WACCBIP is to conduct cutting-edge research and innovation to guide

development of new approaches to disease diagnosis, prevention, and control. In the first few

years of its establishment, the Centre maintained a research focus in infectious diseases (IDs)

alone. However, with Africa now facing a double threat of IDs and non-communicable diseases

(NCDs), it was logical to broaden our research and training agenda to include several emerging

NCDs, particularly those that are known to be precipitated by or interact with IDs.
