Scientific meeting

The online event is open to PhD, young innovators and senior scientists from both academia and pharma.

To celebrate the One Health Day, we launch the international event, OneHealthdrugs Marathon that will take place on 20-23rd Nov.

• all network participants are invited to share their research for the first time from the beginning of our Action and to increase our knowledge of the general research landscape existing in the network;
• new applicants network participants will be attracted
• positive feeling of open collaborative atmosphere;
• new concepts and innovative technologies can be integrated in perspective into all research programs  through collaboration, training schools and STSM-COST Action fellowships.

Description. On this online workshop we are exploring the risks of drug resistance among parasitic agents of
vectorial transmission and the challenges posed in the detection of drug resistance in the field.

The main focus of the present meeting is the following:

OHD PROJECTS TOWARDS OneHealthdrugs objectives. Looking for low environmental impact drugs

By highlighting the scarcity of ecotoxicological data for commonly used antiparasitic drugs, we stress the urgent need for considering the One Health concept. New methodologies at early stages of antiparasitic drug research  are needed. Not only in the process of hit finding and lead selection, but also in the development of novel formulation technologies. By adopting progressive approaches to mitigate ecological risks, the integration of greener principles can be applied. The present workshop will present some examples in the formulation of new antiparasitic drugs in the field of antiparasitic drug discovery.

The General assembly is an improtant meeting gathering all participants of the COST Action CA21111 network. It was held during the Athens meeting (19-20 September 2024) in hybrid mode.  The main appointments, events, principles and projects. The slides collect these main points discussed at the meeting.

The main focus of the present meeting is the following: Goals Achievements during YEAR 2. project advancement monitoring with the main aim of providing safer antiparsitica drugs with lower environmental impact.
